Available in anthracite, olive green, and desert yellow, Panna Cotta is offered in two rounded top versions, bringing color, substance, and sculptural lightness to outdoor environments with refined irony and timeless grace.

Panna cotta
Designed by Ron Gilad, the Panna Cotta coffee table is a poetic exploration of contrast—combining material solidity with visual delicacy. Its name references the iconic Italian dessert, evoking the soft, subtle vibration of the tabletop’s surface. This elegant contradiction lies at the heart of the design, where strength and fragility coexist.
In its outdoor version, Panna Cotta features a stainless-steel frame with a perforated top and a sculptural base made of Etna lava stone. The surface is finished with oven-baked enameling, enriched by vitreous inserts obtained from crushed recycled glass sourced from discarded TV and PC monitors. This sustainable process adds a unique speckled depth to the table’s tactile surface.
Ron Gilad was born in Tel Aviv in 1972 and currently lives and works between Tel Aviv and Milan. Known for his conceptual approach, Gilad’s work explores the boundary between abstraction and functionality. His hybrid objects merge practical intuition with artistic expression, resulting in pieces that challenge conventional definitions of design.
When invited to collaborate with Molteni&C, Gilad questioned whether to approach the partnership as a traditional designer or to simply embrace his authentic creative voice. The outcome was a seamless blend of his abstract, sculptural language with the dynamics of industrial production—leading to the development of unique, thought-provoking design pieces.
In Italy, Gilad has collaborated with esteemed brands such as Flos, Adele-C, De Castelli, Dilmos, Salvatori, and Nodus. His work has been showcased in solo exhibitions, including the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and is part of major collections worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum in New York. In 2013, he received both the Wallpaper* Design Award and the Elle Decor International Design Award for Designer of the Year and Furniture Design.
