Golden Gate
Designed by Vincent Van Duysen for Molteni&C, the Golden Gate outdoor table reinterprets the classic outdoor dining archetype with sculptural elegance and material intelligence. Its silhouette is defined by a continuous band of burnished aluminum, rounded and cornerless, forming the sled-shaped legs that extend flush with the tabletop—creating a unified, architectural gesture.
The top is available in two refined options: solid teak slats, which allow for natural water drainage, or lava stone slabs finished with oven-baked enameling. The lava stone features vitreous inserts made from crushed recycled glass from old TV and computer screens, combining sustainability with visual depth. Color options include anthracite, olive green, and desert yellow.
Born in 1962 in Lokeren, Belgium, Vincent Van Duysen studied architecture at the Higher Institute of Architecture Sint-Lucas in Ghent. Between 1986 and 1989, he gained valuable experience working in Milan and Brussels before establishing his own studio in Antwerp in 1990. His work seamlessly blends architecture and interior design, creating a symbiotic relationship between the two disciplines. Van Duysen’s designs for furnishings and accessories adopt an architectural mindset, prioritizing spatial awareness and the interaction between interior and exterior environments. By reshaping architectural proportions, he crafts designs that are pure, simple, and timeless, yet retain a tangible solidity and substance.
Van Duysen’s architectural practice has undertaken a broad range of noteworthy projects. These include his first venture into the Belgian hotel industry and an impressive portfolio of international work. Among his key projects are private residences in cities such as London, New York, and Milan, as well as offices in Beirut and Riyadh. He has also designed high-end commercial spaces in global capitals like Paris, Rome, and Hong Kong. Additionally, Van Duysen has collaborated with Molteni&C, creating iconic pieces such as the Gliss Master cabinet system and the Ribbon bed.

With a burnished aluminum frame and top in teak or recycled lava stone, the Golden Gate table combines function, sustainability, and refined proportion for elegant outdoor dining.
