K14

K14 by Norbert Wangen continues the designer’s exploration of the kitchen as a sculptural and architectural object, where opposing forces coexist in deliberate harmony. Defined by its iconic elliptical countertop, the system introduces a fluid gesture that interrupts and softens the rigor of the monolithic block. Emerging seamlessly from the primary volume, the curved extension becomes both a functional surface and a spatial statement — a dynamic element that transforms the kitchen into a place of interaction and conviviality.

The 2026 evolution of K14 further dissolves the boundaries between kitchen and dining, creating a continuous architectural composition where preparation, gathering, and living coexist naturally. The cooking area is conceived as a precise operational stage, while the elliptical snack counter or lateral overhang extends the system outward with visual lightness and structural confidence. Engineered with an aluminum support structure capable of sustaining generous overhangs with extreme stability, K14 balances technical sophistication with material refinement. Wood, stainless steel, marble, and Corian® become integral components of the project’s identity, enhancing its minimal geometry through texture, depth, and tactile elegance.

Norbert Wangen

Norbert Wangen is a German architect and designer internationally acclaimed for his revolutionary approach to kitchen architecture. He rose to prominence with the creation of the K series—monolithic kitchen blocks featuring integrated, sliding tops that conceal fully functional cooking systems. This concept redefined the relationship between form and function in contemporary kitchens.

Since joining Boffi in the early 2000s, Wangen has become one of the brand’s most influential collaborators. His designs, including the iconic K2–K6 series, have helped shape Boffi’s identity in the field of minimalist, high-performance kitchen systems, blending architectural purity with technological innovation for both indoor and outdoor living.

A sculptural kitchen system where elliptical geometry softens monolithic form, creating a seamless dialogue between architecture and convivial living.

K14 combines structural innovation, refined materiality, and fluid geometric detail to redefine the contemporary kitchen as a sculptural living space.
