Boffi

Floe

Designed by Keiji Takeuchi for Boffi, the FLOE washbasin is a masterclass in understatement and function. Conceived as a seamless integration into a stone or marble slab, the basin emerges through a gentle semispherical recess—barely visible, yet profoundly intentional. This subtle gesture reduces the traditional washbasin to its essence, allowing the surrounding surface to extend uninterrupted in both function and form.

The discreet silhouette and clean geometry reflect the influence of Japanese design, where utility and minimalism coexist in perfect harmony. The surface perimeter is subtly defined to prevent water and splashes from escaping, while the embedded bowl adds quiet sophistication. Available in refined stones such as white Carrara marble, Crema d’Orcia, Pietra d’Avola, and Gris du Marais, FLOE is not just a washbasin—it’s a sculptural surface element that blurs the line between architecture and object.
