The Andon collection reimagines the traditional coffee table by integrating lighting into its design, drawing inspiration from Japanese culture and its close relationship with the ground.
Available in round or square versions, Andon functions as a low outdoor table with an optional ambient light source, diffused through a waterproof parchment-like cover. The tabletop, in black enamelled volcanic rock or white pitchstone, features the distinctive Nerosicilia texture and is paired with a stainless steel frame.
Andon is also offered without lighting, allowing modular compositions with varied shapes, finishes, and heights—perfect for creating poetic and functional outdoor settings.
Nendo is a design firm founded in 2002 in Tokyo by designer Oki Sato. Born in Canada in 1977 received the Master of Architecture from Waseda University, Tokyo in 2002.
