Molteni&C

Boulogne

Designed by Vincent Van Duysen, the Boulogne baskets offer a refined storage solution for outdoor living, combining visual texture with lightweight practicality. Ideal for holding towels, magazines, or small essentials, these baskets contribute to the sense of calm, order, and completeness that defines Molteni&C’s outdoor environments.

Their design continues the weaving theme found across the Timeout and Landmark collections, using a simple warp-and-weft motif crafted from strips identical in size to those used on the Hyde pouf. Made entirely from durable olive-green EVA polyurethane, the baskets are weather-resistant, tactile, and easy to maintain.

Available in three stackable rectangular sizes, they can be neatly stored when not in use—offering both aesthetic and functional value. As the first in a growing range of outdoor accessories, Boulogne reflects Molteni&C’s holistic approach to outdoor comfort, where every element, no matter how small, is designed with clarity, purpose, and timeless elegance.

Vincent Van Duysen

Born in 1962 in Lokeren, Belgium, Vincent Van Duysen studied architecture at the Higher Institute of Architecture Sint-Lucas in Ghent. Between 1986 and 1989, he gained valuable experience working in Milan and Brussels before establishing his own studio in Antwerp in 1990. His work seamlessly blends architecture and interior design, creating a symbiotic relationship between the two disciplines. Van Duysen’s designs for furnishings and accessories adopt an architectural mindset, prioritizing spatial awareness and the interaction between interior and exterior environments. By reshaping architectural proportions, he crafts designs that are pure, simple, and timeless, yet retain a tangible solidity and substance.

Van Duysen’s architectural practice has undertaken a broad range of noteworthy projects. These include his first venture into the Belgian hotel industry and an impressive portfolio of international work. Among his key projects are private residences in cities such as London, New York, and Milan, as well as offices in Beirut and Riyadh. He has also designed high-end commercial spaces in global capitals like Paris, Rome, and Hong Kong. Additionally, Van Duysen has collaborated with Molteni&C, creating iconic pieces such as the Gliss Master cabinet system and the Ribbon bed.
