Molteni&C

Green Point

The dining chair from the Timeout Collection by Molteni&C embodies a refined synthesis of structure, rhythm, and artisanal texture—designed for seamless integration into contemporary outdoor dining settings. With a slender silhouette and angular stance, the chair’s frame is built from burnished painted aluminum, shaped into a continuous band that defines the backrest and sled-style legs with dynamic precision.

The backrest’s curvature and proportions are finely tuned to ensure ergonomic comfort, while the seat and back are hand-woven in dense polypropylene rope, available in anthracite, olive green, or desert yellow. This signature weave evokes Mediterranean craftsmanship while offering full outdoor durability and weather resistance.

Both visually light and structurally solid, the Timeout chair complements dining tables across the Molteni&C Outdoor Collection and enhances open-air spaces with its sculptural presence and material richness—uniting elegance, function, and timeless character.

Meet the designer
Vincent Van Duysen

Born in 1962 in Lokeren, Belgium, Vincent Van Duysen studied architecture at the Higher Institute of Architecture Sint-Lucas in Ghent. Between 1986 and 1989, he gained valuable experience working in Milan and Brussels before establishing his own studio in Antwerp in 1990. His work seamlessly blends architecture and interior design, creating a symbiotic relationship between the two disciplines. Van Duysen’s designs for furnishings and accessories adopt an architectural mindset, prioritizing spatial awareness and the interaction between interior and exterior environments. By reshaping architectural proportions, he crafts designs that are pure, simple, and timeless, yet retain a tangible solidity and substance.

Van Duysen’s architectural practice has undertaken a broad range of noteworthy projects. These include his first venture into the Belgian hotel industry and an impressive portfolio of international work. Among his key projects are private residences in cities such as London, New York, and Milan, as well as offices in Beirut and Riyadh. He has also designed high-end commercial spaces in global capitals like Paris, Rome, and Hong Kong. Additionally, Van Duysen has collaborated with Molteni&C, creating iconic pieces such as the Gliss Master cabinet system and the Ribbon bed.
