Treated with water- and oil-repellent finishes, the stone basin maintains both its raw texture and practical performance. The meticulous craftsmanship highlights the natural veining of each stone piece, elevating the basin to an object of refined character. Exclusively designed for wall-mounted installation, Rubicone fits seamlessly into minimalist environments, where its presence is both discreet and profoundly expressive—a testament to Silvestrin’s philosophy of elemental elegance.

Rubicone
The Rubicone freestanding washbasin by Claudio Silvestrin for Boffi is a sculptural statement where material intensity meets architectural clarity. A semi-spherical basin carved from natural stone is delicately poised atop a minimal metal structure, clad in panels of lacquered polyester or solid wood finishes such as American Elm or smoked-stained Oak. This interplay between weight and lightness, concave and convex, creates a striking visual dialogue between surfaces and form.
austere but not extreme, contemporary yet timeless, calming but not ascetic, strong but not intimidating, elegant but not ostentatious, simple but not soulless.

Rubicone is a freestanding washbasin with a bold monolithic presence—refined in detail, pure in form.
