De Padova

Mogura

Mogura, designed by Nendo for De Padova, is a pendant and floor lamp that captures the poetic essence of space and void through a minimalist steel frame. Named after the Japanese word for “mole,” Mogura evokes the outline of a burrow, with the light source subtly integrated within its geometric cage-like structure. The frame, crafted from matte black painted steel, defines the negative space, allowing light and shadow to interact in a delicate, architectural play.

Available in multiple sizes, Mogura’s restrained design resembles a suspended sculpture or an abstract birdcage, offering a versatile lighting solution that enhances the ambiance of both residential and commercial interiors. Whether as a singular statement or arranged in clusters, Mogura exemplifies Nendo’s philosophy of understated innovation—where simplicity unveils layers of spatial poetry.
