For outdoor environments, Shine 26 extends its architectural language through iroko wood slatted tops and glazed lava stone surfaces, materials selected for their durability and tactile character. The project evolves without altering its essence, reaffirming the timeless relevance of Magistretti’s design through a contemporary interpretation rooted in material quality and formal restraint.
Shine 26
Shine 26 celebrates the enduring legacy of one of De Padova’s most iconic tables, originally designed by Vico Magistretti in 1991. Reintroduced for the company’s seventieth anniversary, the project preserves the understated elegance and architectural clarity that have defined its presence within the collection for decades, while evolving through refined material research and expanded functionality. Shine remains an expression of Magistretti’s timeless approach to design — essential, balanced, and quietly sophisticated.
Defined by its sculptural shaped legs and reflective finishes, the table interprets space through lightness and proportion rather than excess. The 2026 edition enriches this identity with a new stainless steel structure available in polished, white, and black finishes, enhancing both its visual precision and adaptability across interior and exterior settings. Marble tops in Bianco Carrara, Calacatta Oro, Grigio Greystone, Grigio Carnico, Valentine Gray, Emperor Dark, Rosso Lepanto, and Verde Alpi introduce depth, texture, and material richness while preserving the purity of the form.
Architect and designer, studied at Politecnico di Torino and Champ Universitarie Italien in Losanne. Magistretti’s research has been continuous – into design, the culture of the project and innovative experimentation with materials and space solutions, not to mention shapes and functions far from the rigours of fashions that passed through during the years.
