Auro

Auro Table by Naoto Fukasawa transcends the conventional idea of the dining table, becoming a sculptural architectural presence capable of defining the atmosphere of an entire space. Conceived through a profound respect for material purity and visual balance, the project places marble at the centre of the composition, allowing its natural depth, texture, and weight to shape the identity of the object. The table expresses solidity without heaviness, achieving a refined equilibrium between monumental presence and perceptual lightness.

The 2026 evolution introduces a new 300 × 140 cm dimension, amplifying the scale of the project while preserving its restrained elegance and architectural clarity. Its defining feature lies in the two central legs, carved from single solid blocks of stone, which reinforce the table’s totemic character and sculptural precision. Beyond marble, Auro Table expands its material language through the introduction of a spatulated resin finish applied to both base and top, creating a softer and more tactile interpretation of the surface. Every detail reflects Fukasawa’s essential approach to design, where form, proportion, and material exist in quiet harmony, transforming the table into a timeless domestic monument.

Offered in both round and elliptical versions, Auro Table plays with proportions to achieve a harmonious blend of solidity and visual lightness.

“Auro Table is almost like a sculpture. It carries a distinctive presence, functioning as a work of art in itself. Its very existence holds intrinsic value.”
